International Forum of Teacher Regulatory Authorities

The 2021 IFTRA conference will now take place virtually on Thursday 6 and Friday 7 May 2021, hosted by the General Teaching Council for Scotland and facilitated by Professor Graham Donaldson.

The plan is to run with almost exactly the same programme that was put in place for the cancelled 2020 conference. I am extremely grateful to those presenters who have indicated that they are still willing to make their keynote or workshop input to what I am sure will be an enjoyable and informative event.

I am finalising details on the digital platform we will use for the conference. It is still intended that workshop options are offered to you as well as the keynotes that will involve everyone attending the event. A major consideration is the timing of the event on each of the two days. This needs to take into account the wide range of time zones embraced by IFTRA members. I will await the returns from IFTRA colleagues to see the balance of attendee locations before finalising this. It is planned that all sessions of the event will be recorded and presentations will be made available so anyone missing out on a session will be able to access it at a later time.

It is pleasing to see use being made of the IFTRA website to share resources and I encourage you to continue to do so. If you wish to upload any resources or update any details, please contact GTC Scotland directly using the address executiveoffice@gtcs.org.uk.
